My guest today is Irene O'Garden and we talk about her book, "Glad to Be Human." In a world filled with distressing news on a daily basis, we can't control pandemics or protests, but we can control what we focus on and the joy we get from the little things in life. Irene has slightly less than 50 wonderful essays in this book and she reads a couple including "Glad to Be Human," for which she won the "Pushcart" prize. This is a wonderful book if you like to read inspiring essays.
